By completing the activities and tasks in this resource, students are working towards achieving outcomes for the Stage 5 English 7-10 syllabus.

Learn about:

  • the processes of planning, investigating and organising ideas for composing a résumé

  • the appropriate structures, language forms and features of résumés

  • the interview process and procedures in workplace contexts

  • how the processes of representation in modern technologies inform, persuade and entertain.

Learn to:

  • use the processes of planning, drafting and publishing a résumé

  • use appropriate language forms, features and structures to construct a résumé

  • use data and information from internet resources in their own texts

  • adapt texts into different forms, modes and media for workplace contexts

  • identify and plan stages of the task with guidance.
