This text is part of a speech adapted from the occasional address given by Dr Anne Summers at the Graduation Ceremony for students from the University of Western Sydney in 2007.
Anne Summers is a successful Australian author, journalist and broadcaster. The speech to the graduating students, their parents and friends was about the world beyond the classroom. She has some advice for students about how to achieve the right balance in their future working lives.
